a rebranding case study.
Berman Events is a small woman-owned business founded in 2004. Ready to retire their original logo which was in use for over 14 years, they hired deRuth Design to rebrand the logo and business materials. We also consulted on the re-design of their website, advising them on how best to provide a list of their formatting and wording changes to their web designer and reviewing the site at different design stages to ensure the new Berman Events brand was being used correctly and effectively.
The Challenge: Design a logo that would show Berman Events as an experienced corporate and community events planning and management team. Their previous logo became dated and had more of a "party planning" feel than desired. This rebrand had to give the company a much more "corporate" feel through use of the logo, colors, business stationary, and web presence.
The Solution: Select a solid, serious, and trustworthy color and create a corporate-style block design with detachable logomark. Going forward, the logomark will be the main visual identity for Berman Events. All other aspects of the rebrand flowed in the same way, always keeping a corporate look while still being friendly and relaxed.
